Kelly Chmielewski

Founder, The Possibility Shop

Kelly is an innovation leader, brand champion and founder of The Possibility Shop, which she is building to help purpose-driven companies fortify, evolve and amplify their brands to meet the changing needs of customers—winning hearts, minds, loyalty and revenue. Previously, Kelly led the PBS brand through 15 years of change, driving double-digit growth in engagement and value, culminating in her role as Vice President of the PBS Creative Lab. Kelly’s career has been celebrated with wide-ranging national honors, including numerous EMMY®, Promax/BDA, American Advertising and CINE Awards. Kelly also speaks on design thinking and brand innovation at national events and serves as a pro bono consultant for The Taproot Foundation.


Andy Dean

Creative Director and Vice President, City Year, Inc.

Most nights, Andy wears a cape and mask and plays Superdad. By day, however, he can be found at City Year, where he oversees the non-profit’s visual brand identity. Andy started at City Year in 2002, leading a team of diverse, young City Year Boston corps members. Previously, he worked in the Detroit area, teaching and working with children to develop creative expression in both visual arts and literacy. Over the years, Andy has also worked with a variety of other non-profits and local businesses on branding including Bella Luna Restaurant, Dewees Island, Michigan Audubon Society, StudentsFirst, and Year Up.


Kim DiVincenzo

Creative Director, Global Broadcast and Video

A Vistaprint veteran of 12 years, Kim is responsible for developing one of the few in-house creative teams that handle the conception and production of Vistaprint’s global television campaigns. With a staff of producers, camera operators, editors and motion-graphics professionals, Kim’s team creates broadcast solutions that airs in 10 markets and 12 languages. In addition to concepting, she directs production and post-production, working closely with the strategy team to develop the overall direction for Vistaprint on TV. Kim holds a BA in Film and a MA in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College.


Joe Gies

Marketing Director, Creative & Photography Services, Bass Pro Shops & WRMG

Joe is a 25-year veteran director and manager of creative operations, strategy and procurement. Most of his experience was gained within the walls of ad agencies, managing Fortune 50-500 clients across a host of industries. With a proven track record for delivering award-winning creative work within an agile, multi-disciplinary workflow environment, Joe understands that time-to-market is critical—recognizing that creative must respond to the ever-changing scope, timelines and budgets clients require. Currently, Joe manages one of the largest in-house creative services departments in the nation. Previously, he owned creative start-ups including a partner position with a large regional agency in St. Louis.


Gaemer Gutierrez

Creative Director, CVS Health

At CVS Health, Gaemer champions brand innovation and design thinking across a number of healthcare segments—having led the design of a small group of private labels into an award-winning portfolio of brands. He attended Parsons School of Design in New York and Paris and has worked with leading brands like Estee Lauder, Gillette, and Valentino. Gaemer also worked with Tommy Hilfiger, Salma Hayek and Andre Agassi to create their namesake beauty brands. Gaemer is on the board of directors of IHAF and serves as a design mentor at the School of Visual Arts. He is adjunct professor with the Fashion Institute of Technology and was recently recognized as a one of the “50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business.”


Kathi Hersh

Senior Manager for Creative and Print Services, Fannie Mae

Kathi began her career by hand-lettering lobster boats and decorating bar mitzvahs on Long Island. At 22, she relocated to DC to work for Art Display and Washington City Paper before joining Fannie Mae as a typesetter. Today, Kathi directs the development of creative strategies and materials for internal and customer events, employee engagement, various digital properties and corporate communications, while leading a growing team of designers and production artists. Creating an environment that enables team members to do their best work is her favorite part of the job.


Don Kimball

Sr. Director, Brand Management, TIAA

Don is a Senior Director on the Brand Management team at TIAA. His primary responsibilities include developing brand guidelines, conducting agency trainings, and reviewing creative work to ensure brand adherence. Don is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, going on to serve as Creative Director and VP Creative Services for companies such as Fidelity Investments, Scudder Investments, Columbia Management and Bank of America. Throughout his extensive career, Don has had the opportunity to mentor a number of colleagues in the areas of design, copywriting, account management, project management, print production and fulfillment.  


Jessica Klay

Senior Director, Design & Creative, Globoforce

Jess thrives on cutting-edge creative ideas. Always growing and learning, finding inspiration everywhere, she is incredibly passionate about all she does. Jess has built and lead the internal creative team at Globoforce® from the ground up, providing a vision for the design team and the global organization. She established processes and practices for realizing that vision, hiring talented humans and setting the bar for quality—including her team’s recent recognition as a finalist for the 2016 In-House Agency of the Year award. Most recently, Jess rebranded Globoforce including two new corporate office spaces and the award-winning WorkHuman™ brand and event. Her mantra? There’s a method to the madness.


Wendy Schurtz

Manager, Business Operations, State Farm Insurance

Wendy is Manager of Business Operations within Creative Services at State Farm Insurance Companies. At State Farm, one of Wendy’s focus areas is leading the development needs of the Creative Services team to help them achieve their objective of being a best-in-class internal agency. Prior to business operations, Wendy spent several years working on the account management and account planning teams at State Farm. Wendy is also an IHAF ambassador with a passion for learning. A graduate of Illinois State University, Wendy enjoys keeping up with her daughter, travelling with her husband and snuggling with her golden doodle.


Stu Siegal

Creative Director, Executive Producer, VLCreative

Stu is a media professional with over 25 years’ experience creating video content for nearly every major network and studio, including ABC, CBS, Fox, Warner Brothers, Discovery and Sony. Stu produced and directed over 100 short documentaries for the Hallmark Channel and has created content for The Simpsons, Harvard/Smithsonian, PAX, and the Outdoor Channel. In the corporate arena, Stu has created online content for clients such as Toll Brothers, Eaton Vance, Great West, Ameriprise, Scholastic, TripAdvisor, and numerous others. As Executive Producer/Creative Director of VLCreative, Stu brings his passion for visual storytelling to brands who seek to maximize the power of digital engagement.


Marta Stiglin

Principal, Stiglin Consulting

Marta is principal of Stiglin Consulting—a firm that partners with corporate marketing and internal creative agencies to advance their organizational strategies and management practices to increase their competitiveness in the marketplace. She is also a frequent instructor of professional development workshops for various trade organizations as well as a guest speaker/session facilitator for a host of industry events nationally. Prior to consulting, Marta oversaw the development of advertising and merchandising for the direct, retail and wholesale channels at Bose Corporation. Before Bose, she led account management teams for two New England ad agencies. Marta is one of the founding members of IHAF, having served on the Board of Directors for over 10 years, two as Board Chair.


Dave Weist

Executive Creative Director, Mullen Lowe

Dave used to be a bond trader. Then one morning, while taking the elevator to another day as an automaton and realizing he would have to compartmentalize and leave his real life at the door, he said, “enough.” He went to art school and never looked back. Today, Dave is an ECD at MullenLowe Boston and New York. He’s won every major international award, including the Cannes Grand Prix, the Grand Kelly (twice), the Grand Effie, an Emmy and several London International Awards. Great work that works is the ultimate goal, and Dave has applied that ethos to Volkswagen, Hummer, Cadillac, JetBlue, Google, Netflix, American Greetings, and he is looking forward to doing it again with E*TRADE.
