Boeing’s In-House Agency Soars to New Heights

While outside agencies host a revolving door of clients, we are perfectly happy with one. And it’s a big one. In fact, we have the coolest customer on the planet—The Boeing Company, designer and builder of some of the most important aerospace products in history.

We are Creative & Information Services (C&IS), the in-house agency that supports Boeing. Another take on our initials captures what we do: we Create communications materials intended to Inform and Serve a global workforce of over 170,000—and that’s not counting our sprawling network of business partners, suppliers, contractors, and others.

It’s a lot of work and every request involves interaction, planning, and budgetary management within each department to generate strong, effective, on-brand creative from global product launches or enterprise-wide safety initiatives, to employee-facing concerns like retirement, networking, and healthy living. At C&IS, our effort to become the world’s best in-house agency is moving full-steam ahead.

To be truly world-class, we can’t rest on successes of the past. And while our successes as an organization have been many, this year we’re emphasizing collaboration among designers, photo/video talent, writers, and clients. We’re strengthening how we execute the Boeing brand promise to customers, suppliers, employees, and other stakeholders. We’re redefining the blueprint for all work that passes through the department: define, assign, develop, execute, and deliver. And we are positioning our talent to lead with new ways of delivering the world’s best communications products to the world’s best company.

That’s a lot to tackle. But we are dedicated to setting the standard for excellence as we strive to be the best in-house agency for the best customer on Earth.
